STATE WARNS SITE TO REMOVE LIST OF SENATORS WHO PASSED GUN CONTROL REQUIRING PERSONAL INFO ON OWNERS: UPDATE, POST CONTENT DELETED

Posted on July 11, 2016

All contents of our post ‘GOVERNMENT WARNS SITE TO REMOVE LIST OF STATE SENATORS WHO PASSED GUN CONTROL REQUIRING PERSONAL INFO ON OWNERS’ has been removed by WordPress Community Garden under subdivision (c) of Section 6254.21 of the Government Code, by an authorized representative from the state of California.

The letter to WordPress was provided and in part reads as follows: “This letter constitutes a written demand under subdivision (c) of Section 6254.21 of the Government Code that you remove these home addresses from public display on that Web site, and to take steps to ensure that these home addresses are not reposted on that Web site… Publicly displaying elected officials’ home addresses on the Internet presents a grave to the safety of these elected officials. The Senators and Assembly Members whose home addresses are listed on this Web site fear that the public display of their on the Internet will subject them to threats and acts of violence at their homes.”

We began the post by quoting the the Sac Bee: “Warning of “a grave risk” to elected officials, the California Legislature’s legal arm has asked the blog platform WordPress to take down a post listing the addresses of lawmakers who supported gun control legislation.
Gov. Jerry Brown on July 1 signed several gun control measures, fortifying California’s already strong gun restrictions over the objections of those who saw the bills eroding Second Amendment rights
.”

We discussed 2nd Amendment rights and gun legislation in California in the deleted post.

We have no intentions of not abiding by the demands, no names, no list.

The deleted post was written with a quote from Thomas Jefferson in mind, “When a man assumes a public trust, he should consider himself as public property.”

Please realize WordPress acted under order of the state of California, they have been nothing short of exceptional for Burst Updates.
