TIME FOR GOP TO STOP JUDGES FROM BLOCKING PRES TRUMP: END BLUE SLIP RULE

Hill: “GOP senators are talking about changing an obscure Senate tradition to make it more difficult for Democrats to block certain judges from advancing to a confirmation hearing. The change to the “blue-slip rule” would involve preventing individual senators from blocking nominees to circuit courts that have jurisdiction over several states.
If the rule change were made, it would make it easier for President Trump to win confirmation for his circuit court picks.”

The 9th Circuit has been giving Pres Trump a lot of problems this year with rulings on immigration and borders contrary to what is recognized as law.

There are more than 100 judicial seats open waiting to be filled and it only requires 51 votes.

The blue slip provides the libs with a strong veto in their states, it was used to water down Bush appointments, one of which blocked a Trump EO.

Obviously, GOP now total in control, that process must be overridden.
