Pres Trump made some changes and Michelle Obama’s back out speaking about obesity and healthier children’s lunches: “How about we not let kids completely guide everything? How about we stop asking kids how they feel about their food? Kids, my kids included… That to me is one of the most ridiculous things we talk about in this movement, that the kids aren’t happy. Well, you know what? Kids don’t like math, either. So what are we going to do, stop teaching math?”

They are not eating the lunches and the schools cannot afford to continue to throw it away.

Fox: “The study’s conclusions comport with widespread complaints from school officials and parents that the program encourages food waste. It also has drawn criticism for cost, implementation difficulties and unpopularity with students.
Further, since the restrictions on calories, fat, sugar, sodium, whole grains, fruits and vegetables went into effect, it is estimated that over 1.2 million students have stopped eating school lunches, according to EAGnews.org. School systems also dropped out of the program because it led in some cases to compliance costs exceeding the amount of federal subsidies received.”

She was asked about the problem of her nutritional mandate: “Keep families ignorant. That’s all I’m hearing. You don’t need to know what’s in your food. You can’t handle that, mom. Just buy this, be quiet, spend your money.”

Michelle My Butt said her kids included but that was not the menu at Sidwell Friends. “Keep families ignorant.” Standard menu items there in 2014 included Philly Cheese Steaks, chicken wings, meatball submarines, beef nachos, chips…, everything which is prohibited by Michelle’s nutritional mandate.

Federalist Papers: “They are calling for “practical flexibility under federal nutrition standards to prepare healthy, appealing meals,” CNN reports, specifically recommending that the US Department of Agriculture allow saltier foods that would have otherwise been allowed and cutting current whole grain requirements in half.”
