AP: “Coca-Cola says Philadelphia’s new tax on sweetened drinks is seriously hurting their business in the city. According to a story on the beverage company’s website, the company’s volume in Philadelphia is down 32 percent from a year ago.
Fran McGorry, president and general manager of the local bottler known as Philly Coke, says because of the lost sales, the company’s workforce has been reduced by about 40 positions. The company has more than 700 workers in the region.”

How many large corporations decided to either return or remain in America after speaking with Pres Trump about future tax plans? What about all of the money that would come back to America? Think about the spending, the jobs.., all part of the promise to make America great again.

Society today has been brainwashed to rely upon someone other than oneself. Sanders gained so much support from the millennials campaigning on the idea of everything should be free but somebody has to pay for it. My son was given a participation trophy once, it was terrible. They do not keep score anymore, winning and losing are not factors. Exceptionalism is frowned upon.

Taxes punish achievement. Why are cigarettes taxed? Prices increase and sales decrease. When government wants to lower activity they increase taxes.

Philly Coke’s taxes have increased to the point where the business has decreased 1/3 from last year. They had to cut 40 employees.

Obama and the liberals chose winners and losers, they regulated the coal companies out of business while subsidizing wind and solar which produced electricity at a cost of 6 times that of coal.

Why shouldn’t the people decide?
