DC: “Six categories include traditional navigable waters, interstate waters, territorial seas (these three are called “jurisdictional waters”), impoundments of jurisdictional waters, “tributaries,” and “adjacent” waters. These are jurisdictional by rule in all cases, requiring no additional analysis in order to be regulated. To be adjacent, the rule uses the rubric of “neighboring,” which can be met by waters in the 100-year floodplain—meaning land which might be wet one out of every 100 days is a water of the U.S. and can be federally controlled. Texas coastal prairie wetlands are another type of water automatically considered adjacent, and therefore subject to regulation.”

Pres Trump at the signing of the documents overruling the regulations: “It was a massive power grab. Regulations and permits started treating our wonderful small farmers and small businesses as if they were a major industrial polluter. They treated them horribly.”

In 1972 when the Clean Water Act was implemented, the bodies of water it protected were defined as navigable, or large enough for a boat. W Examiner: “The regulations extend the EPA’s and the Army Corps’ regulatory reach over what is termed “navigable waters,” which ranchers, farmers and states argue gives the federal agencies’ unprecedented authority over drainage ditches and nearly anything else that can contain water. “This rule is a staggering overreach by the federal government and violates the very law it claims to enforce. It will have dire consequences for homeowners, farmers and other entities by forcing them to navigate a complex federal bureaucracy and obtain costly permits in order to perform everyday tasks like digging ditches, building fences or spraying fertilizers,” Morrissey said.”

California is on it’s way to raising gasoline taxes to repair it’s torn-up roads. How many other revenue areas have been squeezed dry? How much longer before the cars are as well? There are already taxes on bikes!

Health care was never about health. It’s always about control.
