Breitbart: “Democrats and “progressives” who gathered at a town hall in the San Francisco district of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Friday pressed her to revive the “single-payer” option for national health care — i.e. a government-run system.” The pressure came after Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, at the urging of President Donald Trump, withdrew the American Health Care Act, the House Republican leaders’ effort to replace Obamacare. The measure lacked the 218 necessary votes.”
Schumer: “We have ideas, they have ideas to try to improve Obamacare. We never said it was perfect. We always said we would work with them to improve it. We just said repeal was off the table. …
Seventeen per cent of Americans liked TrumpCare. They did not want it. Stop undermining ACA and we will work with them.”
Schumer’s plan of working with the GOP included more government control.
Pelosi spoke yesterday in San Francisco: “I extend my hand to the president if he wants to improve the Affordable Care Act. … Before the ACA, insurance companies ruled the roost. We don’t have to throw it out… I supported single payer since before you were born.
Now Pelosi wants to improve ObamaCare with single payer, how much more control could government have over health care, over the people?
