Hill: “House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) hammered the Trump administration’s new budget proposal on Thursday, framing the president’s federal spending blueprint as an immoral demolition of government that’s doomed in Congress.”
Pelosi during a press briefing in the Capitol: “I don’t see how this budget can survive the light of day. This budget is really a slap in the face of the future. … This is systemic deconstruction of the federal government. … As low as my expectations have been this budget really goes beyond,” she said.”
Trump address to Congress: “Since my election, Ford, Fiat Chrysler, Generall Motors, Spring, Sofbank, Lockheed, Intel, Walmart and many others have announced that they will invest billions and billions of dollars in the United States and create tens of thousands of new American jobs.”
While many stood to applaud Pelosi remained seated.
She is not upset only with jobs, she wants government spending to provide them. Remember what Pelosi said about Trump, the GOP, and taxes?
Pelosi: “I think that many of them are supporting him for the reason that Republicans support Republicans. They don’t want to pay their fair share of taxes.”
