W Examiner: “Donald Trump Jr. jabbed the media on Tuesday evening after MSNBC reported on President Trump’s 2005 personal income tax return.
“Thank you Rachel Maddow for proving to your #Trump hating followers how successful @RealDonaldTrump is & that he paid $40mm in taxes! #Taxes,” Trump Jr. tweeted. … An unverified copy of President Trump’s 2005 personal income tax return states that he paid $5.3 million in federal income tax and $31 million in alternative minimum tax on the $150 million income that year, paying an effective rate of just over 25 percent that year, MSNBC reported late Tuesday.”

White House spokesperson: “You know you are desperate for ratings when you are willing to violate the law to push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago. Before being elected President, Mr Trump was one of the most successful businessmen in the world with a responsibility to his company, his family and his employees to pay no more tax than legally required. That being said, Mr Trump paid $38 million dollars even after taking into account large scale depreciation for construction on an income of more than $150 million dollars as well as paying tens of millions of dollars in other taxes such as sales and excise taxes and employment taxes and this illegally published return proves just that.”

Consider all of the new questions from news media;
Who cares about 12yrs ago?
Why can’t he reveal the last 5yrs?
Transparency? …
