DC: “White House correspondents upset with the Trump administration’s shakeup of the pecking order in the briefing room are starting to see reporters from conservative outlets as an “existential threat,” according to the March issue of The New Yorker.”
“Press Secretary Sean Spicer has made a point of highlighting conservative and outsider outlets in his briefings, including The New York Post and The Daily Caller, often giving them the first question rather than mainstream outlets such as The Associated Press accustomed to getting priority. The ongoing nature of the shakeup is getting to some of the White House reporters, who perhaps thought things would return to “normal” after Spicer finished making a political point.”
During Obama Fox was concerned not only about a front row seat but being called on for questions. Today there has been experimenting, I’ve seen questions taken off Skype from well known internet people who are not part of the DC crowd.
There has been reaction from the news media. They interject, even after asking their questions, especially the front row people.
It’s difficult not to get bored listening to the same target questions about Russia spying, Muslim bans, Sessions resignation, keeping ObamaCare, clean air…, and suddenly the disarray with a conservative perspective about deficit, border security, police murders, N Korea nukes, coal miners, deductibles…
