Weekly Standard earlier today: “At least two American hostages (and possibly several more) are being held hostage at a gas plant in Algeria, but there’s been no word on unfolding the situation from either President Barack Obama or Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In fact, the only official word to come from the Obama administration is confirmation from the State Department that indeed Americans are being held hostage there.”
AP breaking: “Algerian forces raided a remote Sahara gas plant on Thursday in an attempt to free dozens of foreign hostages held by militants with ties to Mali’s rebel Islamists, diplomats said. Islamic militants claimed that 35 hostages and 15 militants were killed after Algerian military helicopters strafed the area but said seven hostages survived. …
Information about the 41 foreign hostages the militants claimed to have – including seven Americans – was scarce and conflicting. All were reportedly workers at the remote plant.”
Yesterday Obama introduced ObamaGun with 23 new executive orders while shielding himself with child hostages.
