TARGET WILL MATCH PRICES: RETAILERS DROP TO SPUR SPENDING

CNN Money: “Target will match prices from top online retailers year-round, the company said Tuesday. The retailer will match prices from the websites of Wal-Mart (WMT, Fortune 500), Amazon (AMZN, Fortune 500), Best Buy (BBY, Fortune 500) and Toys R Us. It will also price match items found on Target.com. Target (TGT, Fortune 500) jumped on the online price-matching bandwagon last fall in advance of the holiday season, but is the first to extend the policy beyond Christmas shopping.”

There were no holiday sales. Forward, recovery, job improvement…, it ain’t happening. At the same time, efforts by Obama to double down on what was done in the past to improve recovery, jobs…, where will they take America?

The story continues to say essentially whatever it takes to ‘spur spending’.
