California reelected Obama to secure their bailout and they were not alone in the effort. How many states reelected him to save their government jobs, pensions, welfare, health care, food stamps, disability…? What percentage of his voters do not want to work? That’s the question which is blinding our reality.
Obama was reelected after four years of failure which were blamed on Bush, his supporters agreed. Boehner and Reid are back in the ring again, we quoted Reid yesterday:
Media: “Do you have any plans to change the filibuster?”
Reid: “Yes, I do. I’ve said so publicly and I continue to feel that way. I think that the rules have been abused and we’re going to work to change them. We’re not going to do away with the filibuster but we’re going to make the Senate a more meaningful place.”
Boehner spoke with saying the solutions must resolve the problem: “In order to garner Republican support for new revenues, the president must be willing to reduce spending and shore up the entitlement programs that are the primary drivers of our debt.”
What has changed?
Obama told Russia’s leader that after the election he would have more flexibility, will the same apply with the GOP?
