Obama is being hailed by the news media followers the past few days as being a real leader. Standing before a crowd he talked about state leaders affected by Sandy promising to do everything he can to get resources to them as quickly as possible. He again pushed the idea of why we can’t do something versus how we do it and said to cut through all red tape and bureaucracy.
Obama “My instructions to the federal agencies has been, ‘Do not figure out why we can’t do something. I want you to figure out how we do something. I want you to cut through red tape. I want you to cut through bureaucracy. There’s no excuse for inaction at this point. I want every agency to lean forward and to make sure that we are getting the resources where they’re needed as quickly as possible. I want to repeat, my message to the federal government: no bureaucracy; no red tape. Get resources where they’re needed as fast as possible, as hard as possible, and for the duration.”
Suddenly all of that government control, all of those regulations, must be swept aside in order to get this done. Ignore the red tape and the bureaucracy Obama not only has created but is campaigning on for 2012 and let’s get something done. Wave those EPA requirements on gas so that these states can have power again, solar and wind will not run their generators. The red taped will take forever to permit them to allow the transfer from nearby states. It’s gasoline they want.
What happens after things get back on track? How will big government reposition? When do EPA standards get reimposed? How do they handle the government waivers which were lifted? Why does Romney want all of these regulations eliminated?
