This morning we reported that the Des Moines Register had just released his confidential interview and now we knew Obama wanted to ignore the economy. Although the paper’s interview with Romney was published it permitted Obama’s to be confidential, our understanding being the public pressure imposed on them forced the Register to publish it. We later learned it was the Obama team that did so.
Obama: “So when you combine the Bush tax cuts expiring, the sequester in place, the commitment of both myself and my opponent — at least Governor Romney claims that he wants to reduce the deficit — but we’re going to be in a position where I believe in the first six months we are going to solve that big piece of business. … Obamacare turns out not to have been the scary monster that the other side has painted… … we could actually cut our power bill by about 20-25 percent, and that would have the added benefit of taking a whole bunch of carbon out of the atmosphere…”
Everything was later reposted by the Register. Their exclusive was scooped.
His platform, as we have said all along, includes the passing and implementation of everything which he was unable to do in term one. In other words Forward can be defined as putting backwards into overdrive.
