A 500 page internal government Fast and Furious report was just released and Holder made a statement: “The report confirms the inappropriate strategy and tactics were field driven and date back to 2006. The leadership of the department didn’t know about it and the leadership did not attempt to cover-up information or mislead Congress. … It is unfortunate that some are so quick to make baseless accusations before they present the facts about the operations.”
He mentioned the two officials were resigning and said it was a shame these great professionals were leaving.
In other words the buck stops here and the blame lies somewhere else although Holder is in charge of the department.
It is a 500 page report and it remains to be reviewed. What is said about the wire taps? Operation Wide Receiver has already been proven to be not associated with this. How will the families of Brian Terry and property owner react to Holder’s statement? What is over and what has just begun?
