This could be the October surprise and the news media followers as well as the republican establishment cannot stop that Chris Matthews tingle. No doubt Obama had the putter out as he skipped another PDB to watch MSNBC’s coverage of Mother Jone’s secret video surprise and Romney’s response from Costa Mesa last night. Obama brought hope and change, is now looking forward, and Romney is not worried about these people.

We are posting this a little later because we verified the republican establishment responses. To our surprise we found just the opposite at Free Republic which has not supported Romney in the past but read the full statement from Boca Raton, and understood what Romney was saying in context. Assessments were plain and simple unlike so many others which approached the story with Romney drowning from the start. We also transcribed the video.
Romney: “There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you name it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what. …
And I mean the president starts off with 48, 49… he starts off with a huge number. These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax. So our message of low taxes doesn’t connect. So he’ll be out there talking about tax cuts for the rich. I mean that’s what they sell every four years. And so my job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”
A recent Gallup asked if government needs to do more to solve the nation’s problems and the response by the dems opposed was 67%. Obama’s target sector is the democrat party. The accomplishments he spoke least of during the DNC convention included food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability, welfare…, all designed to appease the dependent but funded by the taxpayers, the people Romney said he was worried about.
