At the very start of the mass shooting in Aurora we asked how many areas, like the Giffords disaster, would the liberals address, one of which was gun control. Yesterday we defined the real problem, like all others, not being about guns rather the mentally ill doing things we cannot stop. The issue is one of freedom. We listed results of gun control in areas which produced the opposite results, more violence.
Last night Bloomberg finished his day fighting against our 2nd Amendment on Piers Morgan saying: “I don’t understand why the police officers across this country don’t stand up collectively and say we’re going to go on strike. We’re not going to protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what’s required to keep us safe.” New York is another one of those heavy control yet violent states.
The public calls the police and they respond, how many times are they there when the violence occurs? How many unsolved murders are there?
How many other reasons are there for police to strike besides gun control? When a city bankrupts, how is their protection affected? Overspending and economic conditions are affecting the ability to maintain forces, what if you have to wait longer for a response?
We found only 3 states with more repressive gun control laws than New York yet New York ranked #3 in 2011 in gun violence/number of homicides.
