China cannot build coal plants fast enough. Obama cannot understand why they will not go away. Natural gas prices make it an obvious competitor but Obama does not want it on our plate either. It’s like guns, illegals, education, employment, religion, you did not build that, my fair share…, any of Obama’s priorities. In the end it’s never about the issue, it’s about freedom, the elimination of it.

PBS Coals and their affiliate announced both a reduction in production and layoffs due to Obama’s restrictions. Layoffs included 225 yet these are all too common in business today in an economy which Obama insists has turned around. Weekly unemployment numbers continue to hover just under 400,000 based on seasonal adjustments. In this instance they are coming out of our energy sector, from private companies, not the Solyndras.
PBS Coals CEO: “Both the foreign and domestic coal markets remain soft due to weak economic growth and activity. Additionally, the escalating costs and uncertainty generated by recently advanced EPA regulations and interpretations have created a challenging business climate for the entire coal industry.”
Obamanomics is uncertainty supported by liberals. What long term legislation has been passed in the last 3.8 years that has been beneficial to America? Nothing but few short term extensions of previous policy with suicide amendments labeled as Obama cuts.
Gulf oil companies are now drilling in Brazil… America is importing energy resources from terrorist countries to beat the heat this summer while those countries use profits to reinvest in their futures, including militaries.

you really should check your facts. The Chinese boom in coal powered plants is over. Despite their building some of the cleanest coal plants in the world over the past few years they are still seeing serious problems related to coal. Which is why their most recently adopted 10 year plan for the country focuses heavily on both natural gas and alternative energies.
And the near tripling of oil priced during Bush’s term greatly increased the cost of US coal exports- leading major coal importers such as China and Russia to switch to closer sources.
And PBS coal which you mention- a Russian owned corporation.
And let’s not forget the realities of coal in the US. The industry has been in decline for years in part due to the rising cost of exports. And it is not EPA regulations causing the industry problems- it is the explosion of cheap, and cleaner, natural gas production in the US under Obama.
And as a side note- shall we discuss the recent evidence of the massive increase in the incidence of Black Lung Disease among coal miners and their communities? Or the recent blocking of any regulations designed to combat this issue by the house GOP ?
