Yesterday we looked at the city bankruptcies from the perspective of the government goodie collectors, the major inconveniences. We quoted from the LAT, specifically on California’s latest, San Bernardino, but left out some of the major problems to focus on later. The people have been manipulated by government. That’s not to say the people did not elect their officials, the point is to focus on the California government.
LAT: “Filing for municipal bankruptcy protection will allow San Bernardino to renegotiate contracts, including those with employees, and stave off creditors while officials restructure the city’s finances. Current employee pension obligations, one of the contributors to the city’s financial straits, will not be affected, officials said.”
Obama continues to run on the tax cut plan which does not cut taxes, it increases spending. There are no limits to our deficit. Spending is a tax increase, somebody must pay it. Moody’s… employs downgrading to reveal to the world that it’s more expensive to continue to borrow than to stop spending. If Obama and his staff claim America’s downgrade to be a mistake, they are either lying or they are dumb asses. I would bet they are lying figuring the voters are dumb asses. Explain California’s desire to continue to borrow? The lib controlled senate just passed the first leg, $8 Billion, of the $70 Billion high speed rail project.
The state is plunging because labor costs are exceeding revenues, just like San Bernardino. That town, population of 211,000, will soon cease to exist. Just north is Folsom, they are so broke that they’re now charging $225 for 911 medical calls.
In how many other states could Pelosi survive without campaigning? California is ewacko, Maryjane, gay rights, NOW, anti-war, Happy Meal, Hollywood, ultra lib, blue state country. If the left believes in it somebody in California is carrying a sign to support it. In which category do other American states envy California? Why are so many moving out? What has liberalism done for California to make it our nation’s hot spot? What about Illinois, Michigan…?
