Obama will not let go of the Robert’s decision and neither will the news media followers. The incessant references to the fact that ‘we’ are moving forward on the law that ‘we’ fought for were again outlined in Parma. This frames the attitude which Obama has molded from his first days as a community organizer, the Alinsky way.
Pull quote from the Parma speech: “And middle class is an attitude. It’s not just about income, it’s about knowing what’s important, and not measuring your success just based on your bank account. What it’s about, your values, and being responsible, and looking after each other.”
I normally write off the top of my head, sometimes the lack of editing shows. I wrote down the quote I liked from this speech last week but was having a good time, did not want to be miserable, and elected to wait until this morning to write this, yes, it too is impromptu. What Obama said was if you are upper class you cannot have values.
Think about that and ask yourself with whom from the middle class Obama hangs out? His children attend a school with a tuition which is undoubtedly college level. At the same time their parents are upper class. They must have the right kind of values to send their children to that school. So the rich can be rich in values if they are the ‘right’ kind of rich. Obviously Hollywood rich are welcome to the Values Club. So are the lib singers, musicians, and performers. Millionaire, Billionaire…, it’s not a factor if you give to the Values Club.
Back to the ugly other side. Get a degree, don’t get one, work your way up the ladder, start a company and expand, get married and raise the kids, sacrifice, and become successful. Now, because you have more money than you need you do not have the values. You will not be accepted into the Values Club. Why the hell do we need success?
Burst Updates wants a new Rasmussen poll: If you work really hard would you rather;
1- Watch Gong Show reruns all day
2- Support unemployed
3- Be middle class
4- Be upper class
5- Not sure
Obama said in his speech it’s about ‘knowing what’s important’ and ‘being responsible’ yet there is no big plan to improve anything. Like the mouse on the wheel he says keep running. There’s more movement in Pelosi’s face than in America’s job recovery.
