During the conference yesterday Carney would not say anything about Syria waging war on it’s people, he insisted on the term violence. Never did he say the war had to be stopped, it was yet again a question of more negotiations incorporating a community effort from other countries. A civil war is a possible future problem only if such negotiations fail.
Recently some of the liberals felt the campaign waters were getting cold and have spoken out publicly. The news media followers are keeping the curtains closed on what is occurring behind the scenes in the Syria situation. At the same time they are not timid about spreading national security leaks.
Our military relies on Russian ports to transfer supplies into Afghanistan. A lot of money laundering occurs within Russia who is a major arms dealer to Syria, including all of those attack helicopters. In the same vein Syria is Russia’s last Arab ally just as Syria is Iran’s last ally.
Obama likes to make deals with Russia and the last thing he wants is another war before November.
