Back on track with fundraising yesterday Obama hit six sites finishing the day in Baltimore. Focusing on his economic critics: “This notion that somehow we caused the deficits is just wrong. It’s not true. And anybody who looks at the math will tell you it’s not true.”

He continued: “And if they start trying to give you a bunch of facts and figures suggesting that it’s true, what they’re not telling you is that they baked all this stuff into the cake with those tax cuts and a prescription drug plan that they didn’t pay for, and the war, so all this stuff is baked in with all the interest payments for it. It’s like somebody goes to a restaurant, orders a big steak dinner, martini, all that stuff, and then just as you’re sitting down, they leave, and accuse you of running up the tab.”
The proof is always in the numbers yet he listed none, and he’s reading off the teleprompters. So we looked them up.
In 2008 the deficit was $459 Billion and projected for 2012 is $1.2 Trillion. Screw the footnotes, each year of his no budget administration the deficit has exceeded $1 Trillion. I bet he eats out.
Carville’s latest reaction: “We will face an impossible head wind in November if we do not move to a new narrative. They know we are in a new normal where life is a struggle and convincing them that things are good enough for those who have found jobs is a fool’s errand.”
He’s admitting Obama’s message has gone beyond boring, liberal loyalists no longer listen. ‘They’, the people/voters…, from whatever sector, do not believe the economy is recovering. Plain and simple, they are going to check Romney.
