WALK BACKS CONTINUE: CLINTON’S TURN

A number of liberals have been taking shots at Obama recently only to receive that DC red phone call and ordered to retrieve their bullets. We have been following these shooters and those who have been ordered to pick-up their bullets wondering whether the ammunition was was real. The latest call went to Clinton and he addressed it a few days ago on CNN.

Prior to talking about it, one of the White House’s many leak avenues had information to Politico which ran a story about Clinton’s sabotaging Obama, something such as Clinton Is Out Of Control. We quoted from it a few days ago: “Obama does not need Clinton undercutting him. The two are not close, but they are not supposed to be enemies.” The playbook says always keep your hands off, allow others to do your dirty work.

We haven’t identified the ammunition yet so we do not know how to define the dirty work here but Obama does not apologize in his statement. “I’m very sorry about what happened yesterday. What I thought something had to be done on the fiscal cliff before the election, apparently nothing has to be done until the first of the year. So I think he should stick with his position and negotiate with the republicans when possible. I really was under the impression that they would have to do something before the election. And I was trying to figure out how they would kick it to lapse the election. Once I realized that nothing had to be done before the first of the year, I support his position. I supported extending them last year. But I think his position is the right one and necessary if we are going to get a comprehensive deal.”

Before reading the statement one must take into account Clinton’s narcissistic personality, why would a former president such as he comply? He is certainly not stupid, we are expected to believe he was not aware of the sun setting? Never did he touch what he said about either the recession or Romney’s ‘sterling’ achievements at Bain. The Politico story made a big deal about Bain and highlighted ‘sterling’.

Clinton has what Obama desperately needs today, the Wall Street connections. Obama destroyed those campaign fund links. Clinton endorsed Bain and the market did well with him. Why would Obama put a match to it?
