The city that doesn’t sleep cannot seem to wake-up. The people are packing-up permanently. It didn’t just start, like the old Three Stooges Niagara Falls scene, “Slowly we turn, step by step, inch by inch…”, and suddenly businesses and taxpayers are gone. It’s so bad in California they were just caught with their hand in the military donation cookie jar. Car companies will not even make their ads in Michigan.
After reading the recent story about Hyundai receiving about 20,000 applications for almost 900 jobs the immediate impression was there is simply too much unemployment, those U6 numbers Obama is fighting to firewall tell the story. Then after realizing the location it all became obvious.
Birmingham Business Journal: “Approximately 20,000 individuals have applied for 877 jobs tied to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama LLC’s addition of a third production shift at its Montgomery plant.”
How many states have been competing with Florida, the no tax state? Consider the aggravation created by Walker in Wisconsin for Obama and the unions, liberals and members which are now supporting him in the recall. Alabama too is a right to work state like the Midwest, lower East coast, Gulf states, and the foreign car manufacturers are choosing them.
Obama doesn’t even want Detroit to be like Detroit, how much of it’s manufacturing business is being sent across the Mexican border? How much advertising and insurance business across the big pond? Today, who wants to be like Europe?
