Wednesday we discussed Obama’s eroding support from both Hispanics and the under 30 sector each of which were vital in 2008. He is signing executive orders to give illegals citizen’s rights, and has traded the Oval Office for Air One to put campaign 2012 in overdrive. Obama has been president since Labor Day only because the surrounding icons identify him as such. He was not elected to campaign let alone fund his efforts with taxpayer dollars. News media followers will not touch the subject.
Pelosi is out in front of the news media followers bi-itching about the GOP essentially allowing the college loan rates to double if they do not take action on legislation which expires soon. The media fails to ask Pelosi who was in charge of pushing the 2007 bill through, let alone why it is expiring just before the election.
Clarifying the rate increases, current loans are grandfathered, only incoming freshman are affected. Obviously the trips to the colleges were political.
Boehner: “This is beneath the dignity of the White House. It doesn’t even pass the straight test, are you kidding me? His campaign ought to be reimbursing the Treasury for the costs of this trip. … This is the biggest job in the world, and I’ve never seen a president make it smaller. The president keeps attempting to invent these fake fights because he doesn’t have a record of success or a positive agenda for our country.”
Carney: “I understand that there’s an effort to politicize this, an effort to hide the fact that they have a policy problem on their hands. But our interest, the president’s interest, is ensuring that this matter be taken care of on behalf of American college students.”
Cost per hour for Air One is above $180,000. Add security, transport costs, travel expenses…, and the total jumps quickly. Instead of leading America Obama is spending to creating political issues that divide, all on the consumer credit card.
