In a free economy only the best survive. It’s no different than nature, there is a specified way in which things work and deviations from that way will not. It’s true with everything, there is only one formula for water. There is a reason why the Obama plan has failed and it’s not Bush’s fault! Unemployment is at record levels and it’s not because the recovery is working.
Last week the CEO of Hilex, a bag producer, was interviewed on Hannity. He said: “We have 1250 jobs here in the United States, 10 plants. And we spend all of our time focused on working against the government who is trying to ban us out of existence.”
He was asked whether there was a cost to protect employee jobs in order to remain in business responding: “We’ve spent so much money. We could have built more recycling plants, which we actually take garbage, turn it back into plastics and put it back into products. We could be rebuilding those and creating jobs. Instead, we’re spending our time fighting against legislation that’s going to take American jobs out of this country.”
States have imposed a fee on paper and plastic bags yet are now worried about germs on those being reused. In California there is legislation pending to ban them altogether. The environmentalists hate the idea of them.
Just as green energy was a job killer so too is the bag ban. The big cover-up for Fast and Furious is being ignored by the news media followers, Obama’s efforts to destroy America’s 2nd Amendment rights. This is no different. The goal from day one has not been environmental but a job killer.
