All of the dreams of hope and change quickly became a predefined ’cause I said so’. The will of the people was transferred to government in terms of judicial, czars, executive orders, secret foreign agreements… Time and time again the goal has been to redefine the commodity, force the people to participate, and regulate how they do so. The EPA is a perfect example of all the above yet at the same time states and people fighting back.

The EPA just imposed regulations on new coal plants. The coal industry predicts cost increases of 11-23% on electric rates. The goal is to regulate the people, when will they try to adjust the current industry? How long before the new computerized boxes are on the outside of your residence monitoring your every minute of use? When do you wash dishes, watch TV, shower…? How will they regulate your power accordingly? It was never about energy or environment.
The very same EPA issued a permit to a West Virgina mining company 3 years ago and later attempted to revoke it. Who can afford to go through the necessary processes to build a home, move in, and have a government agency revoke zoning?
West VA rep McKinley commented to Obama saying let this be: “a strong warning to the Obama Administration’s EPA that they will not be allowed to run roughshod over other federal agencies and the rights of law-abiding companies.”
Sen Manchin saw the ruling as: “a damning assessment of what happens when an agency puts personal agendas ahead of the law and the scope of agency authority.”
The judge maintained the EPA had no right to either modify or revoke a permit which had been duly issued: “This is a stunning power for an agency to arrogate to itself when there is absolutely no mention of it in the statute.”
Early on Obama grabbed up land in western states taking control for environmental reasons. Now he is taking control of private land through backwards big government power, much the same as regulating existing private business. The silver bullet is government control, not the will of the people.
