Early on Obama grabbed up land in western states taking control for environmental reasons. We discussed the impact on business revenues and employment. Today states such as Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming, sitting on Trillions of barrels of oil locked in shale, are determined to get it, regardless of Obama. Very similar to the border states which have been forced to protect themselves, these states are doing the same.
Utah legislature just passed a law demanding 20 Million acres be returned. More states today want to be like North Dakota.
Obama continues to preach windmills, solar, and algae, but has bitten the silver bullet on higher gas prices. Detroit spiked last night. States contend the land is their land, they want lower gas prices, more business, and higher employment. They have decided to protect their borders.
