Education was a major factor in Obama’s hope and change from the start. Stimulus pumped major taxpayer dollars into education, later to be defined as teacher unions, ultimately benefits and DNC campaign contributions. The benefits ran dry in debt ridden Wisconsin where Walker saved the teachers union from massive layoffs by initiating a benefit contribution program.
Gregory Christy, Baltimore teacher, pleaded guilty to 2 counts of child porn possession and never served a day. His personal porn library included hundreds of thousands of images, a full chapter entitled children. Unlike the private sector teachers across the nation literally escape sexual escapades with children. In New York, whatever their problem, they report to a special room each day and are paid as well as receive full benefits.
AP today: “A Los Angeles elementary school teacher bound and gagged nearly two dozen children, put cockroaches on some of their faces and posed in photos with them, possibly inside a classroom, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday.” The current molesting count stands at 23.
Florida became the first state to base teacher salary on student performance. New legislation eliminated tenure as the base by which salaries are determined and tied it instead to student performance. Rather than multi-year contracts based on experience, teachers now work year to year being rewarded based upon the success of their students.
The judicial system is no longer ruling based upon the law, consider the parents of students who have been abused by teachers, let alone the students, and what might their reactions be? Why must the church pay the price and not the school?
