In a Supreme Court decision near the end of last year our Second Amendment rights were barely upheld in a 5-4 decision, both of Obama’s new appointments voting to rescind. In a fundraiser following the decision Michelle My Butt displayed her authority once again saying that if reelected, candidate Obama would settle the issue, ending our right to bear arms.
An AP article yesterday concerning crime ridden Detroit discussed the fact that most people do not realize open carry is legal. “The Glock 9 mm holstered on Sharonda Hawkins’ hip is there for the Detroit mother’s personal protection.
On occasion — while shopping or pumping gas — when her blouse or shirt rides up a bit, sight of the pistol also serves as a warning to anyone thinking of making Hawkins a crime victim.”
A gun instructor said: “A large percentage of people don’t even know it’s legal.” He went on to cite state and constitutional laws supporting our right to bear arms.
The common argument against our 2nd Amendment is there are too many guns.
Countries in Europe which eliminated guns experienced increases in crime and violence.
Obama set up gun sales to the cartel in order to create violence in America, powerful weapons would be brought back in, the damage overwhelming, and the result a basis to eliminate our right to carry. The pilgrims never survived in the community effort, when people had a personal share, something to gain from their efforts, never again were there shortages. Remove the opportunity for personal protection from private citizens and allow illegals, terrorists, criminals… to pack, what does the nation become other than another community?
About two weeks ago we commented on the ever growing intensity of the FBI background checks and the fear people have of no longer being able to purchase a gun. We believe final sales figures in 2011 will set new records with more to come this year. CNN questioned why the surge was occurring.
