Last spring major Internet poker sites were indicted by the regime including Full Tilt and Poker Stars. Some of today’s top players had been approached by Obama before the election about changes in online gambling which they never saw. Everything’s been reconsidered.
NYP: “In a letter to some lawmakers, released Dec. 23, DOJ officials said they’d changed their long-held stance against interstate online gambling to prohibit only “bets or wagers relating to sporting events or contests.”…
The new decision would eliminate “almost every federal anti-gambling law that could apply to gaming that is legal under state laws,” Rose wrote on his blog. …
“The US Department of Justice’s conveniently issued legal opinion is a desperate attempt to try and fix today’s recessive economy. It’s clear that President Obama’s fiscal policies have been a complete failure,” Sandstrom told Utah’s Daily Herald.
The DOJ ruling was made Sept. 20, but only released to lawmakers the Friday before Christmas.”
Obama’s Internet fundraising was essential to the election win. He understands how many it can reach. He also realizes he cannot fill the empty government coffers by increasing their taxes and still ask for their votes. Gamblers like to smoke.
