In 2008 Palin was plastered for being a Wal-Mart shopper. During the campaign My Butt established herself as a Target woman. The following year she was noted for wearing attire from the GAP. In an effort to divert the public’s attention both the Clinton’s and the Obama’s have conferred with news media followers to reposition their focus.
The Clintons made themselves open targets for news media exposure dancing on an isolated beach in order to cover-up the issue at hand. Using the same playbook, Obama walk a stretch of Florida’s beach in front of camera followers while occasionally leaning over and looking at things, sometimes picking up stuff and staring at it from a variety of angles.
AP/CBS: “Michelle Obama was spotted shopping at Target Thursday by an Associated Press photographer who told CBS News he was tipped off that she would be there.
AP photographer Charles Dharapak told CBS News he took pictures of the first lady at the Target on Route 1 in Alexandria, Virginia.”
My Butt White House communications director: “It is not uncommon for the First Lady to slip out to run an errand, eat at a local restaurant or otherwise enjoy the city outside the White House gates.”
Everyone is trying to cover-up something by focusing attention elsewhere, normally the goal is to make people feel they are one of us. Just as there was no music with the Clintons, My Butt missed the note by attempting to portray herself as a target shopper. She doesn’t vacation in Florida, drive a Volt, send the kids to public schools, or bookmark the store’s coupon site. Dear Ms Harvard Law School, Target is not union.
