WHY HAVE DISCRIMINATION

In the late 90′s a story broke concerning Hooters settling a discrimination suit for close to $4 Million. The normal vernacular would be the company was, at the time, getting sued left and right, although it was only left and it got worse as time went on. In this case some men filed contending they were denied opportunities provided only to the voluptuous. The settlement did not prohibit the chain from continuing to hire the same.

1. Recently a 95 year old wheelchair bound woman with leukemia, wearing a soiled Depends type product, was forced to remove it when TSA workers prevented her from moving on to her flight until she was ‘properly’ patted down according to government specifications.
2. Testing for promotions in a New Haven were skewed to include minorities, people were permitted promotions with failing scores over those who actually passed.
3. Public school teachers who violated policy were not fired but placed in a ‘rubber room’ and continued to collect salary and benefits.
4. Abercrombie & Fitch is being sued by a woman who refuses to remove her hijab/headscarf claiming freedom of religion.

Hooters also has been sued for weight discrimination. The Obama’s implemented the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, removing parent’s right to decide what their children eat. They have threatened to remove children from their homes in the case of obesity, new standards have been incorporated to publicly show overweight results.

Why continue to fight the war of redefining discrimination standards? If big government wants to eliminate illegal, pledge, cross, Muslim, health, class, education, union… discrimination issues, eliminate them!
