Iran’s space program will be sending a monkey into orbit and our final shuttle flight will lift off in a few weeks. They are testing long range missiles, capable of hitting America, while Obama defies our generals and cuts and runs from Afghanistan. China is building structures we can no longer afford while unemployment rises.
Obama campaigned in the start of 2008 on the promise that as commander he would spend hundreds of billions in construction and environmental areas to jump start our economy. The majority was to be spent on ‘green collar’ green friendly areas which would create 5 Million new jobs and the remainder on public projects, bridges, highways, airports… In February 2008, per AP, the total proposed was $210 Billion. “This agenda is paid for.”
In November of 2008, after the election, details were still being ironed out but jobs still were his top priority. He outlined a summary which included support and contributions from both parties: “We’ll put people back to work rebuilding our crumbling roads and bridges; modernizing schools that are failing our children; and building wind farms and solar panels, fuel-efficient cars and the alternative energy technology that can free us from our dependence on foreign oil and keep our economy competitive in the years head. … It is time to act. As the next president of the United States, I will.”
Monthly GDP ended it’s free fall in December of 2008, our economy had bottomed out. This occurred long before Obama came into office and long before his plan to spend hundreds of billions to rebuild. The Index of Leading Economic Indicators shows jobs rising in April of 2009. When Obama announced the recession had ended less than 15% of stimulus had been used. The private sector was being firewalled.
Stewart’s Herman Cain depiction was not racist, it was not funny. Humor works best when it contains an element of truth. Bachmann is not being targeted for a laugh nor was Palin, they do not have a problem laughing at themselves. People are confident for a lot of reasons, those who are not feel more comfortable joking about others and not about themselves. Candidates who present the truth create problems and must be moved out of the way. Personal attack ‘jokes’ are often preferred by the libs. What if Bachmann mentioned too many states?
Obama will not face things, he uses others. He has yet to take the lead on any legislation, he waits for others and then steps in to avoid the arrows. His initial campaign projections for $210 Billion in spending morphed into almost a Trillion with secret clauses, and there was nothing bipartisan about any of it. He lead us into spending from behind. It was his from the campaign days, he cannot say he did not say it.
