NEWS MEDIA SUPPORTS RADICAL JUDICIARY

News media followers generally dislike conservative appointed judges while feeling just the opposite about the liberals. The GOP has not accepted every conservative nomination yet which liberal nomination has been rejected by the dems?

Politico: “It was the first time Thomas has spoken out – at least in a semi-public setting – about the mounting controversies that have swirled around him and his wife Virginia Thomas, who goes by “Ginni” and who was in Charlottesville with her husband.
The justice’s critics have argued that his attendance at, and speech to, a private January 2008 gathering of major conservative donors sponsored by the billionaire industrialist Koch brothers in Palm Springs, Calif. and his wife’s political activism have compromised his position on the court.
Thomas sided with the conservative majority in the decision, which allowed corporations to fund political ads and contributed to an explosion in advertising campaigns funded with anonymous contributions in the 2010 midterm elections.” The article states that he received $550,000 from 2 such contributions.

New York Times: Want to Talk to Kagan’s Family? Permission Denied: “Mr. Kagan, who is also a Hunter alumnus, did not have a problem with the idea, a school spokeswoman said, but she added that all media requests now had to be given final approval by the White House. The times were tentatively set: there was either an 8:52 a.m. class or a 9:36 a.m. class on Wednesday. ‘I thought it would have been great,’ said the spokeswoman, Meredith Halpern. But when presented with the idea by The Times, the White House balked. Joshua Earnest, a White House spokesman, said that the administration was ‘uncomfortable with the idea at this time.’ The White House called Hunter, and Ms. Halpern said later Tuesday it could not permit the class observation. A formal proposal has been submitted to the White House, which the administration requested. They asked that it outline the intent and goal of the article in significant detail.” The NYT went on to endorse her. Obama has always been very pro education, Wisconsin…, and Kagan’s brother is a constitutional law teacher. How did Obama look by hiding these facts? Maybe there is more to her passion for law than justice, she had written next to nothing at that point in her role as a judge.

News media follower spinning Sotomayor’s hidden goal: Good Morning America’s Dan Harris: “Racism against white people. The New Black Panther Party controversy given wall-to-wall coverage on Fox News. … Sonia Sotomayor saying a wise Latina may have advantages over a white judge. Rush Limbaugh has called liberal policies “a form of reparations.” Of course there have been plenty of controversies that paint conservatives as racist. Senate candidate George Allen calling an Indian man this name …and racist signs held aloft during tea party rallies. A presidency hailed by me as postracial has turned out to be anything but.” The George Allen playbook attack on ‘Macaca’ was created as were the Tea Party’s racist signs, the liberal cannot deal in facts. The only racist comment came from Sotomayor and it was firewalled. The truth is she fits right into Obama’s goal of socialist redistribution, stealing from the haves and spreading it out in crumbs.

Judges appointed by the GOP are there for life yet are attacked by liberals and news media followers as long as they serve. We never approved of appointments which believe in a living Constitution yet we are not incessantly focused on running them off the bench. Just as elections have judicial consequences, so do filibusters and the refusal to recognize judicial appointments, especially when there are many vacancies.
