During the fall of 2008 Obama focused on technology literacy in a campaign ad against McCain. He walked through the White House front doors with a Blackberry. He continually promised to strengthen privacy protections for the digital age. Last summer his Internet kill switch was approved.
What kind of sophistication is Obama killing? Remember the professor he stood up for who claimed the police were harassing him in a racist fashion? Obama learned he was absolutely wrong and was forced to hold the beer summit. How often do his statements have to be retracted? It has happened so often Rush’s golf audience was larger than that of the SOTU. Even worse the people do not believe it will stop. At the same time so much for those who did the 80 and 90% approval polls not to mention the big shine write-ups.
We posed the question of when education has ever been defunded. If Obama’s goal has been technology literacy, where has it gotten us? Our money has already been spent.
The NY Post provides a real cover letter from a real professional applying for a real job: “I’m ready to offer my services for ur project. Contact me at ur earliest convenience 2 arrange for interview. Thanks in advance for ur consideration.” The organization said this is not uncommon.
My son is an honor student who has been taking college courses his final two years at high school. I have seen the new dialect he uses on his iPhone to text, it makes the above seem professional. The cells go off during school but even so, with an unlimited package, he does thousands a month. Thousands over and above sports and a job.
If the brainwashing redundancy was not effective the liberals would not employ it. How many people hate the greedy rich or private business for no other reason than incessant negative government/news media coverage? Why don’t people incorporate the texting dialect for the same reason, overexposure?
Back to the retractions. The Internet kill switch Obama is so intent upon employing, what kind of literacy is he attempting to destroy? Time for another beer summit.
