In the end America learned that the Obama can’t wait stimulus program provided funding for nothing other than government employees. It was essentially ‘tease funding’ to get them through the midterm elections in order to win support for liberal constituents. The basis behind unemployment was the same, the difference was it didn’t run dry.

The Obama agenda is to destroy private sector jobs. The goal with stimulus was not focused on the initial spending but on future increases. It increased baseline on future budgeting. People on both sides who were either OK with or very disappointed about the recommendations of the debt commission but failed to realize it’s insignificance. The fact that it permitted increased spending, budgeting on a level above that which destroyed the Soviets, was the mission of Obama and everything else had no significance.
Today New York realizes shovel ready jobs were a lie from the start. Jobs were never created let alone saved, the budget was bloated to the point where Obama was willing to concede a cap at a level of GDP we have never before spent. And it is permanent.
The liberals and unions are against the spending reductions but in reality they do not exist. At the same time neither does the money. There are no more union jobs to save, no more life ropes for pensions. And the allegations are that New York city unions took exception to their problems when the white stuff came down over the holidays. The NY Post is reporting that ex-Gov Patterson has called for an investigation into the unions breaching contract agreements by creating a slowdown due to forced reductions in budgeting. A criminal investigation due to the deaths, personal problems, and destruction which occurred as a result.
Was it necessary to block medical assistance? How much revenue did the city lose as a result of business closings? What effect will the shutdown have on New York’s deficit? Where else is this occurring? How does this fit into the Obama stimulus plan? No doubt the ACLU is there right now.
