When Barbara Boxer called out a Brigadier General demanding he address her as Senator instead of Mam the immediate thought of the MASH scene where Radar was fumbling between sir and Mam in Hot Lip’s tent as she insisted on more respect came to mind. It was obvious that Obama has been desperate as of late but his actions do not diminish the office, only the person who owns it. Regan and Bush demonstrated the difference. Throughout the interview there was laughter throughout the audience, unfortunately it was not laughing with Obama. Compare the General who referred to Boxer as Mam, in this instance, in front of the nation, to Stewart who was calling Obama dude.
