Companies such as Regence BlueShield raced out the doors last week to exit from child only health plans. Effective tomorrow only current policies will continue, no new ones will be considered. They are not accepting the idea of sharing the risk.
In similar fashion Principle Financial Group is walking away from health care all together to focus on it’s insurance, retirement, and financial services. In an agreement UnitedHealth Group renewals will be made through the new carrier. Principle will consider some of the health care employees for other divisions although in the end people will lose jobs.
AP: “CEO Larry Zimpleman says the business has shrunk in recent years. He says to remain competitive the company would have had to invest more capital, which doesn’t make sense now.”
These once lucrative private companies, serving the private sector, instead of being allotted the freedom to be even more competitive have been restricted even further by big government through ObamaCare. Today it does not make sense for them financially to offer the service, in order to do so they would have to lose money. Instead they opt out and fire employees.
The Pelosi liberals are running ads promoting their proud legislation. Ads which not only walk over private companies but the voters who reject being ignored. We have not posted all of the polls on a consistent basis yet do not be surprised if the state sponsored results showing the Tea Party sponsored candidates being close or even are not running away. It’s time to start caring about our health.
