Whitman obtained a placement agency to select her live-in housekeeper in the spring of 2000. Nicandra provided them with both a state drivers license and a Social Security number amongst the information required in their application form. Based upon the details, references, and interview she was hired. Eventually realizing Nicandra had falsified her application, Meg made the decision to let her go although she did not report her to authorities.
The attorney representing the housekeeper is a long time liberal supporter.
Nicandra was paid $23 an hour, how did she report her income? Meg Whitman is the very successful eBay CEO. If she was doing anything wrong, even after consulting her attorney, why wouldn’t she have simply retained Nicandra instead of firing her?
