Once again this evening we will be forced to watch satellite, read, listen to the radio, or find something else to do in order to avoid even more Obama.
Obama felt the need to ask America to welcome our troops home this week yet during his announcement address concerning the pullout he spoke of everything but their accomplishments and victory. These are the people who executed the plans of Bush and the countless who worked with him in order to achieve the progress we have in what was just a few years ago a terrorist controlled country which Congress voted as a threat to America.
In an interview early this morning on Fox and Friends Gibbs refused to respond to a question each of the five times it was posed to him. Obama, who while serving in Congress, voted against Bush’s Iraq strategies, namely additional troops, labeling the effort as a ‘dumb war’. “I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq are going to solve the sectarian violence there. In fact, I think it will do the reverse.” The troop increase proved to be a defining factor in the outcome. Even so, when Gibbs was asked if Obama would be crediting Bush tonight for that strategy he refused to answer. In fact we now know that there will not be a total withdrawal, 50,000 troops will remain behind. Military authorities agree that this number will remain consistent for years to come.
Retired Major General Bob Scales: “This war, and the surge, was George Bush’s decision. The result of that was a decrease in a level of violence by a factor of 10 and you can’t argue with that. Compare conditions in Iraq in 2007, with conditions today. That is because of the courage and decision making of Bush and his advisers.”
Remember Biden’s plan to split the country into three different sectors? Fox: “Biden’s National Security Adviser Tony Blinken echoed Gibbs’ remarks, saying there’s no deadline for the government to form and it’s not the place of the United States to ask for one. “What we are doing and can do is to suggest to the Iraqi leaders that both in terms of the desires of the Iraqi people to see a government form and the ability to get on with the important business of moving Iraq forward, forming a government is critical and getting that done as quickly as they can is critical. But there is no timeline, deadline. That has to be up to them.” Blinken told reporters traveling with the Vice President.”
Once again we are subjected to the Obama administration flip-flopping as the news media followers run behind merrily along. The Fox interview this morning with Gibbs was delicious. The simple opportunity to watch a newsperson actually do a profession job was invigorating. Power to Gretchen for having the cajones to stand-up to one of these Obama Mild Duds and reveal them for who they really are.
It is ultimately up to us to support the people who have carried our security on their shoulders. The post war psychological traumas are very serious and not dealt with properly by the government. Instead of opening local and border gates for illegals or creating mortgages for unemployed these soldiers should be on their focus. At least support us in our efforts. The suicide rates are not fair to families, friends, or Americans who give a damn.
Obama can remain in his hollow world crediting himself for misconceived victories and fantasy futures, Bush does not need to be recognized for what he did, call him before the address and do not mention him during it. Carry on the campaign and America will make things right. We are who we are for a reason. Thank God.
