Obama was anything but optimistic about Rangel’s future on yesterdays CBS evening news. “I think Charlie Rangel served a very long time and served his constituents very well. But these allegations are very troubling, He’s somebody who’s at the end of his career. Eighty years old. I’m sure that what he wants is to be able to end his career with dignity.” Sound like another Sherrod under the bus to be?
We learned that prior to his statement the House Ethics Panel had recommended a reprimand, slap on the wrist, for Rangel. The House Ethics Committee report shows him failing to disclose $1.7 Million in personal assets over the previous 12 years. Imagine the reaction if Boehner had done the same. Now the liberals are telling America this is the type of individual they feel is right to lead our country. The same one who was in charge of our country’s taxes.
It was Green(D) who revealed the reprimand to the news media followers. NYP: : A reprimand would have to be approved by the full House ethics committee and then the House itself. The light admonishment falls short of censure or expulsion from Congress and doesn’t even require an apology. Hours later, Green apologized, saying that he “screwed up” by divulging the recommended punishment and that he planned to apologize to the chairwoman of the ethics committee. Green also denied that there was any deal with Rangel that would avert the House trial set to begin next moth.”
Nothing ever adds up. Obama knew who Kagan was. He is the first ever to promote jobs saved. He knows he is leaving Arizona unprotected in order to immunize illegals. The $41,000 Volt with the 18% coupon makes it a $33,500 car, it is not a question of who would pay that but who would pay more? How popular will this be in the Gulf states?
As stated Obama spoke with CBS after the panel had decided on the reprimand recommendation. There is about as much chance of him not knowing about that decision as there was of him being unaware of the offer made to Sestak.
