OBAMA INCREASES HIS GAP WITH GOP
Yesterday, after the Senate had left DC with ObamaCare under their belts, Obama made 15 recess appoints.
Obama stood before America afterwards making the following statement: “I simply cannot allow partisan politics to stand in the way of the basic functioning of government.”
List of stalled, blocked, and filibustered Bush judicial nominees. Realize how many were later filled by Obama. Everyone who likes to backtrack and make Bush comparisons, by March 27, 2002, he had made 8 recess appointments, nobody as disapproved as Craig Becker, AFL-CIO. This guy’s still hiding cigarettes.
During the Bush years, Reid would not dismiss the Senate in order to prevent recess appointments. When the GOP was in control, the nuclear option or as it is termed today, reconciliation, was never used.
Consider the public humiliation Alito, Roberts, and their families were forced to endure during the previous administration. And along came Sonia. Everything Alito and Roberts were not was openly smeared all over them. The racist fanática was firewalled from all criticism and like Obama, her past was buried.
“I simply cannot allow partisan politics to stand in the way of the basic functioning of government.” How does that make the Tea Party feel? What about the unemployed? Who is getting excited about more wind power? Can you feel the tingle in your feet as that gap narrows?
